Pro-Tech Sealcoating recommends sealcoating asphalt surfaces every 2-3 years. Protecting your pavement with high-quality sealcoating material helps maintain the surface and keeps it looking new. Without proper care, asphalt surfaces will dry out and break down. Crack Filling

Pro-Tech Sealcoating also recommends crack filling prior to sealcoating the asphalt's surface. Crack filling is beneficial because it repairs surface imperfections (cracks). Cracks develop from dried out surfaces that have lost their asphalt binding material. When cracks develop in driveways, we use a tool to clean out the cracks, then fill them with a liquid bonding emulsion. This prevents grit water and ice from expanding the crack, keeping your driveway protected! We highly suggest a combination of crack filling and sealcoating for best surface results.

Reestablishing Driveway Edges

Pro-Tech Sealcoating services may also include reestablishing your driveway's edges. This means that if the grass around your driveway has extensively grown beyond the normal edge of the driveway, then Pro-Tech can provide the service to redefine the driveway's edge. This service would allow for the full surface of the driveway to be protected with the sealcoat emulsion.
